Big Little Classroom

It is called the big little classroom because the classes in the flatclassroom project vary from small classes and big classes. One of the technologies that they use is laptops, so they can communicate with other through websites. They also use laptops to make blogs, and then their blogs get commented on by other which is another they communicate. Another thing they use is webcams, they use webcams typically through skype and it is a live video chat program used to communicate with one another. These are also the techniques that the teachers uses with her students

The World is Flat

I learned that society is changing, and changing fast. The world is becoming "flat" and the world is starting to become run by individuals instead of by industries\companies. Also people are become more connected, due to tecnology\internet etc., and 3rd world countries are starting to develop and catch on to it too. Another thing I learned was that competition in the world has changed, it used to be nation vs. nation.

To a certain degree it still is of course, but the world is quickly forming  the individual\imagination competition;and anything that can be done will be done. If you don't do it, the next person will. That's the competition of today's society. I do agree that it seems like the 21st century will belong to China, just as the 20th belonged to America;but you never know.

Im pretty pumped for the flat classroom project, because in this project we can truly express ourselves and also test ourselves and see what kind of potential we have. Im also excited to communicate with other students and connect with them, and also to see other people's points of view. Because if you see things from other people's point of view you can create more of a broad view on the world. Which would potentially change the way you think and also change you as a person.

OneNote

Onenote is a microsoft program that is primarily used to organize and sort data, such as data for school or for a job. It is great for taking notes for school subjects, it is organized it a way that is easy to understand, and it is also pretty easy to use. You can open up different tabs for different subjects, and you can also create tables to sort information.
It is different from other miscrosoft programs because of the way it is set up, the way other programs are set up to write and essay and write a story. This program is set up to contain important data in an organized fashion, and is even somewhat fun to use. It benefits students because it can be used to write important notes and other important info, so they can use this program to study off of. It could benefit business professionals becauase the program is a great way to organize data and other important info.

Favorite Websites

I often get on the computer and surf the internet, one of the websites I use is http://www.youtube.com/. I use it to listen to music that I like, and also to discover new music I havent heard. I also use it too watch random videos,  I like to watch random funny videos that people post for fun. I also watch street fights on youtube, I find it very entertaining.
Another website I visit often is http://www.addictinggames.com/, I use it to play computer games and go against other people online. I usually play either racing or fighting games
The other website I like to get on is http://www.nfl.com/. I use it to get info on whats going on in the NFL, like if anyone has been traded and who has been drafted an stuff like that. I also use it to follow the New Orleans Saints, my favorite team. I use it to view their game schedule and their roster.

My name is Elmar Beslagic and I am a junior at Valley high school. I am also a digital communication tools student in Mrs. Bird's class. My favorites sports are football, basketballl and boxing, and my kind of music is rap,rock and a little bit of reggae. I like to work with computers so I think this class will be fun and I look forward to this year
